Harmony Day

21 March was Harmony Day.
We had to wear clothes with orange color and made a postar.
Australia has many people who come other countries and cultures. So we celebrated that day.
But my homestay family didn't know about Harmony Day.
I enjoyed that day.

Characters of Japan

-You can’t live in Japan, if you just speak Japanese.-
Japan an island country. So Japan had been produced a lot of original culture. For example, customs, greeting and foods. Character of Japan is one of original culture. Japan has three characters. Kanji(漢字), Hiragana(ひらがな) and Katakana(カタカナ).
Japanese is written using two systems orthography, Chinese characters and syllabaries. Chinese characters, or Kanji, were brought in from China staring about 1,500 years ago. Prior to their introduction, Japanese was strictly a spoken language. Chinese characters are by far the more difficult system. Because of the sheer number of characters and the complexity both in writing and reading each character. Each character is associated with a meaning. The difference between Chinese language and Japanese language is that Chinese are write entirely in Kanji. Japanese use three characters to write their language.
Japanese usually use Joyo Kanji List(常用漢字) that means it for daily use. Joyo Kanji has 1,945 characters. This list is limit of the use characters to newspapers. Japanese must learn these characters while primary school and secondary school. Most characters have least two readings. Because they are associated with the Japanese reading(訓読み) and the original Chinese reading(音読み). So we have to learn 3,000 readings in fact.
Kanji are used for writing nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. Kanji has the stroke order of each. Those coordinate form of Kanji beautifully. And we write and learn Kanji easily through those. Japanese people are demanded beautifully of the form in calligraphy. So the stroke order is important to Japanese. Original of Kanji is the hieroglyphic. It is produced by shapes of body and things. And Kanji are usually composed by some radicals. The reading or the pronunciation of those depend on how compose them.
Hiragana and Katakana were invented by noblewomen in 9th century. Hiragana and Katakana each consists of 46 signs and they are combination of 5 vowels (a, i, u, e, o) and a consonant (k, s, t, n, h, m, y, r, w). For example, か is ka (a+k). Hiragana is usually used only for grammatical endings of verbs, nouns, and adjectives, as well as for particules, and several other original Japanese words which aren’t written in Kanji. Hiragana is the first of all the writing system taught to Japanese children. Many books for children are written in Hiragana (or Katakana) only. Katakana is mainly used for writing loan words and the names of persons and geographical place which aren’t written in Kanji. For example,私はテニスをするのが好きです。(I like to play tennis.) They are helping each other, that is to say they can’t be made up by themselves.
We can see the characters throughout Japan by newspaper, on TV. And people who live in Japan have to understand them. So you can not live in Japan, if you don’t know Japanese characters.

Activity

I went to Noosa for surfing. Noosa is so far. The time that we were getting the bus is longer than the activity time. We were sitting the seat about 2 hours! It was very boring.
I couldn't do surfing, so I did just Kayaked. I've never tried it. It was exciting. I almost fell into the water. I could see nice view on the kayak. The time went slowly. But one thing was terrible! The man that taught us how to do kayaking squirt me with a water! I didn't wear swimwear. I and my clothes were weted. I felt angly with him. After that, I walked the beach barefoot. It was agreeable. And I saw people surfing.
I slept on the bus when we come back to UIL.

=The Devil wears PRADA=

I watched ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ last night. My homestay mother rented from the video shop. I’ve long wanted to see this movie from in Japan and I bought the original book last month.
Andrea Sachs is a young woman played Anne Hathaway. She got a new job in New York that the company makes fashion magazine ‘Runway’. Andy would be a secretary. She dreamed to come a wonderful life. But it was very big mistake. She’s boss named Miranda Priestly was played by Meryl Streep. I thought she get old from I sow her last. Miranda is a merciless against people who have ability to work.
Andy had gradually changed beautiful woman and Miranda had recognized her.
I don't write the climax of this movie because there are many people that don't watch it yet.
By the way, people who appeared this movie wore brand-name cloths. These look very expensive. I like do shopping and wear cute cloths. But I don't like it so much.
This movie became one of my favorite movies. But I think I should have finished reading original book before watched it.

=Princess Mononoke=

It is my favorit movie of all Ghibuli movie.
The main charactter is Ashitaka who is a prince in a small eastword village. And San is a yong woman that was raisedby Moro. Moro is a Yamainu that has two children. Yakul which is a yak is always with Ashitaka. He is cute. I want him.
The scene of this movie is old forest in Japan a long time ago. Many gods still lived there.
In Japan, things or places have their own god. for example river, forest, village even stone.
This movie is appeared some gods that almost boar include Yamainu. Shishigami that is The Deer God in English is the most holy God.

This movie opened when Tatarigami hit Ashitaka's village.
Tatarigami was once is a boar. The forest the boar lived was destroyed by human. He was very very angry. Hatred, rage and lament sprang up in his mind against the human. This is why he became Tatarigami.
Ashitaka gought him, because of this he was cursed. The curse will kill him a long time after. After that, Ashitaka went forth to the west.
He arrived at Tataraba. There made iron and matchlicks. The woman named Eboshi governed there. She seems to be villain. But I don't think so. Because she takes care of invalids who doctors and people gave up on.
Ashitaka met Yamagami and San in the forest. They wanted Eboshi's life.
Eboshi wanted Shishigami's head. Because it can cure any ill.
Shishigami kills life and gives life. He destroied many things. And he gave new life.
The end..........

This movie speaked to my heart. I learnd many things. For example, environmental destrucrion and extinction of animals. I think this movie can move many people. I hope so.

Anyway I love music on Ghibuli movies. All music were made by Joh Hisaishi. Probably he is famous person in other country.
Music is very impotant in movie.
Joh has supported Ghibuli movies so much.

I don't like "Princess Mononoke" in English.
I love the original movie!!

I would like to write about Julia. She married Ethan who is played by Tom Cruise. I don't like him.
Julia is a beautiful woman. She is a doctor. I don't know who played her. I have not seen her before. I think she has never appeared in the Mission Inpossible series. Her husband who is Ehan is a secret agent of IMF. Julia didn't know that. Ethan told a lie to her. She was cought up in his duty. Because Ethan failed in his duty. I feel pity for her. She didn't know anything, though she suffered for him. She was confined to a clinic in China. Ethan went to China to rescue her and gound her. He jumped to the building from the next building. It was like bungee jumping. I thought it was impossible!!!! I don't like when sameone do impossible thing. Because the impossible is impossible.
By the way, the spy tools were great. For example, guns, cars, ropes and computers. I think they are very ecpensive.
Ethan arrived in the clinic. And he rescued her. Julia was very confused. Ethan tought how to use a gun. Ethan was almost electrocuted. His heart stopped. Julia kid CPR and artificial respiration to Ethan. She was clever. If she werenot a doctor, he would have died. she shot two men including the villain. she is a smart and tough woman. If I were her, I could not shoot them. She survived the crisis with Ethan. But I think Ethan didn't help her. Julia survived it by herself.
Julia and Ethan recovered their peaceful life. They looked happy at the last part of the movie. But Julia should divorce Ethan. Because the peaceful life won't contivue forever. Ethan is still an agent. Bad events may come up with them in future.
Anyway, I like Julia. I don't like Ethan.
